Welcome to Bones, LLC ... the ultimate in dog care!

Living in the company of five dogs of our own, we knew first-hand how difficult it was to find a suitable boarding environment when needed.  Our desire was a place of comfort, warmth, peacefulness and pleasure, without the customary cages and concrete runs.  What WE wanted for our own dogs was a "home away from home" environment with personalized care.  It is those criteria that became the foundation for Bones.

Bones, located just north of Atlanta, Georgia, is a small, unique pet resort offering complete specialized care for your beloved canine family member.  For added peace of mind, two dedicated adults (who happen to be the owners) live on the property and are the caregivers at Bones.  We are a close-knit family and greet everyone by name.  Bones guests arrive excited and happy, and return home already anticipating their next vacation! 

Every aspect of our dog retreat is designed to insure quality care and reduce stress for our guests.  Personal attention and customized professional care is our main focus.  We strive to spend as much time with each guest as possible and to have all of them out and about on a consistent basis.  Our guests can either lounge in our comfortable great room or can run, jump, sniff and play in one of our large secure play yards.  Playtime can either be a "group affair" with compatible playmates (subject to approval of temperament), or individual ball chase, Frisbee toss or sniff and stroll may be arranged.

Nestled on eight acres of serene country living, each guest has his own bedroom.  Unlike other large boarding facilities, we are a small, exclusive retreat with only 14 private bedrooms.  Although the private rooms are bright and cheery, with appropriate space and a comfortable bed, they are nothing more than a nice place to sleep, relax and dine!  The "great room" is the favorite place for most of our guests to socialize and relax.  Comfy couches, satellite TV, soft music, ambient lighting and water fountains provide a soothing atmosphere for both canine and human alike!

Please note that we also provide weekly PlayCare.  Once approved, owners can bring their dog to spend the day with other canine companions.

Johnny and Sandy's Personal Notes ...

We have been in the "pet care" industry for 30 combined years!  During that time, we cleaned dog runs, bathed and fed hospitalized pets as well as boarding pets.  Graduating to the position of Veterinary Technicians, we have assisted in surgeries, given injections/vaccinations, administered medications, educated clients and managed the front office.  In addition, we also have spent several years managing and working in large upscale boarding facilities.  We both are certified in Basic and Advanced Obedience Training, Personal Protection and assisting in Police K-9 Training.

Our canine family currently consists of 3 German Shepherds, a Toy Poodle and an English-type Labrador.  They are:  Dove (13 years), Koki (6 years), Olly (5 years), Booyah (2 years) and Abby (3 years).

We say in our mission statement that  you can leave your pets with us and have "peace of mind knowing that he/she will be cared for as our very own".  Those are not just words but a heartfelt commitment.  Our dogs share the bed (although they think it is THEIRS!).  They keep us warm in the winter and we pay the bills to keep them cool in the summer.  They swim during the summer and hike in the winter ... and even enjoy Mozart!  We are just grateful that they let us be a part of their lives!  They are our companions and our protectors.  We have never worked in, nor found, a facility that gave us true peace of mind when leaving them ... so, we built one!  Our concept was to utilize a "no chain link" approach, designed to ensure quality and lower stress, while still maintaining safety and security for guests.  We decided that all pampered pets need a home-like vacation place with lots of TLC.  Thus BONES was created.
